Unwritten laws still prevail. Among underserved communities and low income families, female children are often considered a burden. Some social religious practices make things worse.
This results in thousands of girls becoming prey of domestic violence, or worse, human trafficking. Once trapped, they rarely escape.
The ability to stand on their own makes the difference that is needed to alleviate or even solve this problem.
In the Garden of Eden, God made clothes for those who had been failed and felt inadequate.
Sanma sewing machine project sews lives back
and stitches confidence together.
Women, once rejected and considered a burden to the family, now make a decent career and contribute to the society.
Sanma provides machines and customer service skills to qualified candidates. People whom society once considered failures or liabilities are now ambassadors of Christ that represent the Victorious Savior.
The project empowers young women to build better communities and resist injustice and sordid practices such as human trafficking.
A group of sewing women gave a gift to their village: they sponsored the first public Gospel meeting in their village and served dinner to each attendee of the meeting.
Another entrepreneur group named their business “Salvation T-Shirts”.
